Stations go in around the building
In-ground stations are set into the soil at intervals around the outside walls, where termites forage.

Termites find the station
Worker termites tunnel into the station looking for food. Their activity tells us exactly where the colony is feeding.

They carry the bait home
The bait contains chlorfluazuron, which stops termites from moulting. Workers share it through the colony before anyone notices.

The colony collapses
With no termites able to moult, the colony dies out. The stations stay in the ground as an early warning for new colonies.

Worker termites find the station while foraging, feed on the bait and carry it back to the nest. The active ingredient, chlorfluazuron, stops termites from moulting, so the colony slowly dies out instead of just moving to another wall.
Is baiting better than drilling and spraying?
They do different jobs. A liquid treatment puts a chemical barrier in the soil; baiting goes after the colony itself and needs no drilling inside the house. For many buildings we combine both. We recommend the right option after an inspection.
How long does it take to get rid of termites?
The bait works slowly on purpose so termites have time to spread it through the colony. Most colonies are eliminated within several weeks to a few months, depending on colony size and the season.
Is it safe for children and pets?
The bait sits inside closed, tamper-resistant stations in the ground, and nothing is sprayed inside your rooms. As with any pest control product, keep the bait packs out of reach of children.
Can I install the Exterminex system myself?
Yes, the kit is made for general use and comes with instructions. For large buildings or heavy infestations, our technicians can install and monitor the stations for you.
